United Methodist Men
The Methodist Men History:
The Methodist Men was originally formed in October 1955 with Mr. Euline Shaw as President. There were 26 charger members. Through the years the men have contributed much to our church through service projects and contributions. The men’s group met monthly on Sunday mornings for breakfast. Occasionally they served lunch in support of special church projects. In 1968, they purchased a new typewriter for the church office!
Current United Methodist Men:
Join us the 2nd Sunday of every month for Men's breakfast. Work projects and mission initiatives for the month of November will be to focus on knowing ourselves better in the image of God.
EXCITING TOPIC NOVEMBER 8, 2009:
We will be exploring an exciting new topic for the next three Men's Breakfast. You will not want to miss this as we start to explore our True Colors and how we can better relate with visitors and people in our community. I have experienced this entire series and it has helped me spiritually, professionally and at home. Come prepared to have great fellowship and great fun. Call ahead to reserve your spot so that materials can be created to match the number of people planning to attend.
ITEMS DISCUSSED LAST MONTH:
Also, please remember we are still trying to get funds for the children's playground area...This is so important to our churches ministries to have somewhere the children can go to learn and play with fellow children of the church.
WE HAVE RAISED OVER $1700.00 FOR THE NEW PLAYGROUND AREA. KEEP THE GREAT WORK UP.
