Crusader's Closet
The Crusaders Closet is located in downtown Trenton and is owned and operated by the
Trenton First United Methodist Church.
The Crusaders Closet was established as an outreach program and caters to those in need. Items such as clothing, toys, books, dishes, and much more are donated to the closet. These items are then sold at minimal costs. All proceeds are put into a benevolence fund, which is used for those in need in the community.
Hours of Operation
Monday 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Located in Downtown area in front of First United Methodist Church
Crusader's Closet is sponsored by the Crusader's Sunday School class. All money collected goes back to the community in various ways:
Provide clothing, household goods, furniture, etc to families of our community who are in need, at little or no cost. In addition we have assisted with utility bills, rent, food, medical needs, etc.
Each year we give scholarships to one or more graduating Trenton seniors and donate to the Trenton Special Olympics team.
In addition Crusader's Closet is a fun place to shop for collectibles, new & gently worn clothing, books, household goods, etc.
Sometimes CC is open during the week, it depends on how much time our volunteers have to give.
Current volunteers include: Sherri Winters, Carol Childre, Ruby Montgomery, Beverly Fritz & daughter Teresa, Linda Green and Sophia Dupree.
I am extremely proud of the ladies who volunteer so much of their time and talents. Crusader's Closet touches so many in our community on so many levels.
